New Delhi/Hyderabad, Mar 31: The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has decided to observe ‘Roja Iftars' during the pious month of Ramzan beginning from April 2nd or 3rd depending on the sighting of the crescent all over the country.
The MRM units in various states have been asked to organize the ‘Roja Iftar’ programs in their respective areas and spread the message of harmony and goodwill.
During his recent tour of Hyderabad MRM Patron and Guide Indresh Kumar has said that the organization has been observing the Roja Iftars and Eid Milan programs. But unlike previous years, this year such programs will be held at the district level also. The MRM has its units in nearly 325 districts of the country.
Ramzan is believed to be the most pious month and the first Muslim month of fasting to be observed. It is also believed that the Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet in this month.
Describing India as the land of prophets, Indresh Kumar said that the mausoleum of the prophet Hazrat Sheesh (the third son of Prophet Adam) is located at Ayodhya the birthplace of Sri Ram. All these prophets have given the message of peace, love and brotherhood, and harmony. The MRM will spread the same message through these programs during the Ramzan, he said.
Indresh Kumar has given a call to all the MRM branches and units all over the country to hold Iftars and Eid Milan programs to promote social harmony and goodwill. "Take this opportunity to spread communal amity and bring people of all faiths together. We will progress only if we love each other and shun hatred", he said.
Meanwhile, Regional Convener of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh M.A. Sattar and National Co-Convener of MRM Environment Cell Sayyed Faiyaz Uddin said that they will organize these events with a focus on social harmony. The covid pandemic restrictions are now over and as such these functions will be observed on a grand scale in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, they said.
