BJP MLAs suspended from Budget session of Telangana Assembly

Three Telangana BJP MLAs were suspended by Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Monday, March 7, for objecting to the presentation of the state Budget by Finance Minister Harish Rao.

Eatala Rajender, Raja Singh and Raghunandan Rao were suspended by the speaker minutes after the Budget session of the Telangana Assembly commenced.
 
 
 
The motion to suspend them was moved by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav. Within minutes of the Budget session beginning at the Telangana assembly, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav moved a motion to suspend the three members till the end of the budget session.
 
The Telangana BJP MLAs suspended from the Assembly are sitting outside in protest.
 
CONGRESS MLAs STAGE WALKOUT
 
Congress MLAs in the Telangana Assembly staged a walkout during the Budget session. Congress MLAs say that this was a protest against the speaker. They alleged that Speaker Pocharam Srinivas was running the House unilaterally and flouting the rules.
 
He further said that the Opposition was not being given the mike in the Assembly to raise points of order.
