New Delhi, April 6: BJP president JP Nadda will launch the party’s new initiative — Know BJP — on Wednesday wherein he will interact with a dozen envoys. It should be noted that the list also includes four Western neighbours of Ukraine. Tvent that will take place at 4 pm Wednesday.
In the first interaction under the initiative, Nadda will meet 13 Heads of Missions from France, Italy, Portugal, Vietnam, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Bangladesh, Singapore, Slovakia, Hungary and Norway on Wednesday. Besides, Head of Missions from the European Union will also be there. India evacuated 22,500 of its citizens via Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary — the Western neighbours of Ukraine — after Russia invaded Ukraine.
“On Wednesday, the foundation day of the BJP, we are launching a new initiative called Know the BJP (Bhajapa ko jaaniye) for the overseas audience. Heads of 13 missions will interact with the BJP president. This is the beginning, many such programmes will be organised with foreign delegates, and apart from this party-to-party interactions will also take place,” said Vijay Chauthaiwale, in-charge of the BJP’s foreign affairs department.
Apart from Nadda, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, party vice-president Baijayant Panda, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi, Tamil Nadu MLA Vanathi Srinivasan and Nagaland MLA Mmhonlumo Kikon are also expected to be present.
