Rajgarh May 20: Taking a strict action against the Muslim mob who pelted stones on a wedding procession of a Dalit man in Rajgarh, the Madhya Pradesh's e Jirapur Municipal Corporation demolished the houses of the miscreants involved in the violence.
As per reports, the Jirapur Municipal Corporation has demolished the houses of at least 18 people. From those 18, the civic body authorities demolished eight houses in Jirapur's ward No 4.
Jirapur Tehsildar Ashwin Ram Chiraman had said, "21 people were involved in Tuesday night's incident and we have identified 18 houses. We have initiated action against encroached land. These people threw stones at the marriage procession of a Dalit Man. The houses of 18 accused were marked for demolition and action would be taken."
It should be noted that on May 17, a group of Muslim people threw stones at the marriage procession of a Dalit man in Rajgarh when it passed through the road in front of a mosque. They also beat up the band members for playing the drums. Four people have been reportedly injured from the Baraat side, including a five-year-old girl who sustained serious injuries. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras and a complaint was filed by the bride's father.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections 294, 336, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3(1) and 3(2) of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
The accused have been identified as Sohail, Sahil, Sadab, Frahan, Dagga, Adeel, Sohail, Gabli, Shaber, Adeel Mistri, Fujjal, Ali, Bhuriya, Bhuru, Manitak, Anas, Samar Lal, and Shanu.
