Mudassir Ahmad Sheikh, the martyred Jammu, and Kashmir policeman sacrificed his life in a Baramulla encounter that killed three Pakistani terrorists of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) on May 25.
A video of a J&K officer has gone viral on social media. In the video, he could be seen dancing and singing to the popular number 'Dil diya hai, jaan bhi denge', originally from the 1986 movie Karma.
Sharing the video, J&K Police officer Imtiyaz Hussain said: "And he meant every word of it.. RIP hero."
The JeM terrorists were supposed to carry out a suicide attack in Srinagar after infiltrating from across the border but Mudassir played an important role in this encounter.
On May 28, he was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Uri, Baramulla in the evening. Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha visited the family of Mudassir Ahmed in Uri on Saturday and expressed his condolences to the relatives.
On Mudassir's martyrdom, his father Maqsood Ahmed said, "My son's sacrifice saved thousand other lives. I know, he will never return, but we are proud of his sacrifice. He gave his life fighting for the nation. He didn't let the terrorists escape."
