I know this web series came in 2021 and many of you must have watched it, but somehow, this one is again in trend so thought of sharing the experience with you all. Aranyak is a crime thriller web series, which will hold your attention, after every episode, you will feel like, let’s watch one more. Beautifully crafted, very well organized, and amazingly presented web series. Starring Raveena Tondon, Parambrata Chaterjee, and Ashutosh Rana in main roles, this web series has something suspicious yet important to share. 
This is the story of two cops, who in the starting are loggerheads, however, under new circumstances they come together, to solve a murder mystery of a 19-year-old foreign girl Amy Baptist. The story starts with a children's play, which has a significant role in the web series, still, in the beginning, you will feel completely clueless about the same. This is a story of a small hill station called Sirona. A lady cop Kasturi is about to take one year's leave for her daughter’s education. She is a daughter-in-law of a retired cop whom she fondly called Hawaldar Saab, played by Ashutosh Rana. On her last day of duty, she finds a new police officer who has come to replace her for a year, Angad. Initially, she hated his style and technique of handling a particular matter however, when a mother comes to the police station to file the missing complaint of her daughter Amy, things changed drastically.
When she was found hanging from a tree in the middle of the jungle, a nightmare comes into reality. 19 years ago same rape and murders happened and the bodies were found in the same way. People of Sironah believed that some mysterious figure did it then and is back again now. People called this creature “Nartendua” which is half a man and half a Leopard. People found the same scars on the bodies, that were found on Amy’s body. Sirona's dark span is about to begin.
However, Kasturi and Angad believed that this “Nartendua” is not real, someone is surely behind these murders. But who was that? Many suspects were there. Hard to find who actually did it?
This story has so many layers. There is a minister who is trying to defend her child who is already in jail for a rape charge, and there is another politician whose daughter is about to get married, who wants the next election ticket and build a resort on the land. There is a tourist guide called Bunty, who is related to Kasturi’s daughter as well, there is Kasturi’s husband who is jealous of Kasturi and was not at home at the night when the crime happened, there is the would-be son in law of this politician who is dramatically related with this murder. There is a cafe owner, who looks suspicious. Now the question is what had happed in Hotel Bomb that night, who raped Amy and murdered her?
The story revolves around the same. There is another story in the story about Angad’s son. But you will have to watch the entire series for the same.
This series is created and directed by Charudutt Acharya and Rohan Sippy. The best part about this series is the way they have managed to create suspense and thrill in each episode. You can not guess the Murderer till the end. And when you come to know, who did it, it leaves you in a state of shock.
The unexpected ending, and the open ending makes it worthwhile. Viewers are excited and eagerly waiting for season 2. Everyone performed really well. But I would love to mention 3 Artists who did a great job. The murderer now I won’t tell you the name or give you any hint, just this person has really performed so well. Kasuri’s daughter Nutan was played by Taneesha Joshi and Megha Malik played the role of Jagdamba. They did a splendid job in their respected roles.
A must-watch web series for its Storyline and suspense, the acting, and dialogues. This series deserves 4 Stars.
