Netizens question Sai Pallavi; Can Kashmiri Pandit genocide be equalized with unconfirmed killings of cow smugglers?

Sai Pallavi, the actress is loved by many across the nation, thanks to success massive success of Premam, Fidaa, Maari 2, and Love Story. She has also been in limelight for turning down a fairness cream commercial. However, now she has hit headlines for very wrong reasons i.e. comparing the Kashmiri Pandits genocide and unconfirmed reports of killings of cow smugglers.

 

 

Notably, Sai Pallavi will be seen next in Virata Parvam alongside Rana Daggubati. The film will release in theatres on June 17. With the promotions going on for the movie that revolves around a Naxalite movement that took place in the Telangana region in the 1990s, she has given a statement that has upset many netizens.

 

In an interview with a YouTube channel, Sai Pallavi she has spoken about the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits during the genocide of 1990.

 

She was asked about matters related to politics. She said that she is ideologically neutral and was brought up that way. She added that she doesn't know if the left-wing or the right-wing groups are right.

 

"I grew up in a neutral environment. I have heard about the left-wing and right-wing. But, I cannot say who is right and who is wrong. The film, The Kashmir Files, shows how Kashmiri Pandits were killed. Recently, there was an incident of a person being killed for carrying a cow because he was suspected to be a Muslim. After killing the person, the attackers raised 'Jai Shri Ram' slogans. Where is the difference between what happened in Kashmir and what happened recently?"

 

"For me violence is wrong form of communication. Mine is a neutral family where they only taught to be a good human being. The oppress, however, should be protected. I don’t know who’s right & who’s wrong. If you are a good human being, you don’t feel one is right," she added.
