Nonetheless, Chitale can't walk away free as her bail application in Thane case of objectionable social media post against NCP chief Sharad Pawar is still pending.

A case was registered against Ketaki Chitale at Rabale police station in 2020 under Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for posting derogatory remarks on Buddhism. Chitale was arrested on May 20, 2022, and was taken from Thane Central Prison.

A case was filed on March 3, 2020, after a Ghansoli resident, who claimed to have received a screenshot on WhatsApp of Chitale's Facebook post on March 1, 2020, filed a complaint.

The complainant said Chitale made disparaging remarks about a specific community and wrote objectionable words about Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mata Ramabai Bheemrao Ambedkar, and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.

Chitale filed an anticipatory bail application after the FIR was registered, but the court refused to grant her any relief 18 months later.
