Assam Flood update: No traces of improved weather conditions sooner; CM thanks Arjun Kapoor and Rohit Shetty for relief

There are no traces of the weather conditions in Assam to get back to normal soon. In the last 24 hours, 4 individuals have died and a mass population of 11.09 lakh people from 25 districts of the state remains heavily impacted due to floods.

Dispur, Jun 17: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has thanked bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and director Rohit Shetty for their contribution of Rs 5 lakhs to the CM Relief Fund for the flood affected people in the state of Assam. At the same time, there are no traces of the weather conditions in Assam to get back to normal sooner.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the two via twitter saying, "Bollywood actor Shri Arjun Kapoor and director Shri Rohit Shetty stood by the flood-affected people of Assam with their contribution of ₹5 lakh to CM Relief Fund. I thank them for their concern and act of generosity."
 
 
 
 
 
Whereas, there are no traces of the weather conditions in Assam to get back to normal soon. In the last 24 hours, 4 individuals have died and a mass population of 11.09 lakh people from 25 districts of the state remains heavily impacted due to floods. The water level of the Manas, Pagladiya, Puthimari, Kopili, Gaurang and Brahmaputra rivers has increased and the rivers are flowing above the danger level mark.
 
 
The flood waters have submerged 19782.80 hectares of cropland in the flood hit districts. According to the state govt data, 1510 villages under 72 revenue circles are presently underwater. All educational institutions in Kamrupa metropolitan district will remain closed on Friday (Jun 17), considering heavy rainfall warning.
