New Delhi, June 20: In a recent interview, Senior Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay created a huge controversy with his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Agnipath scheme.
Addressing Congress leaders and workers, the former Union minster invoked Adolf Hitler to took aim at PM Modi. "If Modi walks the path of Hitler, he will die like Hitler," Sahay said in an interview.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla called out the Congress for not criticising or condemning the unparliamentary language used by its leaders against PM Modi. He criticized Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, saying they will not rein in their leaders as they are the ones who have given green signal to them to make such derogatory statements.
Former Chhattisgarh CM and senior BJP leader Raman Singh also said that Sahay's remark had support of the Gandhi family.
Few days ago, former Nagpur Congress president Sheikh Hussain made unparliamentary remarks against the prime minister saying, “Jaise Kutte ki maut hoti hai vaise Narendra Modi ki maut hogi”.
He made the statement while protesting against Rahul Gandhi's questioning by the ED in connection with the National Herald case.
