If Society is Lock ? Family is Key .

Being an Army Veteran, I am aware that there is a responsibility of co -driver, he /she has to keep control on Driver …in Army if Co- Driver is an officer, his responsibility is more than that of driver, in case of mishap.

About a month back, me and my wife were going in car, I was driving and my wife was sitting on the co-driver seat. Being an Army Veteran, I am aware that there is a responsibility of co -driver, he /she has to keep control on Driver …in Army if Co- Driver is an officer, his responsibility is more than that of driver, in case of mishap.

Family

With that mindset, my wife takes the responsibility of being co-driver very seriously.

We stopped at the red light; we were to turn right.

Red light turned green and we moved ahead.

Suddenly I found a scooter with an adult and the child as pillion in-front of me.

They were jumping the red light.

I applied the brakes … and stopped.

Scooter driver applied the brakes and found themselves on the ground ….no injury though.

My wife opened the window and gave the mouthful to adult …. this is what you are teaching to your son for his entire life.

This is so usual ...a sight ...once someone is caught in traffic violation.

The pillion …the boy …in his school dress, got down and gave a mouthful to his Papa and that was quite a surprise to all around.

“I told you many times not to jump traffic light and you do not listen, today is the last time …you could have killed both of us. I am going to tell Mama.”

The adult was very apologetic …body language was down.

I told the boy – “Make sure that your Mama comes to know, how serious this violation could have become for you both if I was not careful.”

He promised to tell her Mama.

We moved ahead.

In the evening, we were sitting comfortably in our home and got a call from security.

“One family, husband, wife and son wish to come to your home. Name of the husband is Rajesh …”

I told him I do not know them.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of adult …Sir, “we just want to come to ye can thank you, I wour place so that was the traffic violator in the morning”

“Who gave you, my address.”

“That guy who prepares the South Indian Dosas on red light junction.”

They came with small packet of sweets, Lady profusely thanked us and promised that her husband will be very careful now onwards.

Today morning, at the same junction, almost the same time, same situation, we saw father and son again …but father was waiting for the red light to turn green as we turned right ….my wife opened the window and waved at them …. the boy waved back.

We really felt happy.
