The Shinde faction claimed that they were the true heirs of Balasaheb Thackeray's policy of Hindutva which formed the solid foundation of Shiv Sena. They alleged that the present Shiv Sena under Balasheb Thackeray's son and state Chief Minister Uddhav has shamelessly compromised with the core principle of Hindutva for the sake of power by joining hands with the Congress and the NCP.

Uddhav Thackeray, obviously frustrated and tired had tried to put the blame for this fiasco on his part on BJP and reiterated that the Shiv Sena was strong and there was no impact in any way due to the deserting of the party by nearly 40 plus MLAs.

Addressing the Shiv Sena DIstrict heads on Friday Thackeray said that the BJP was responsible for the mess in Maharashtra but Shiv Sena is equally strong to face any difficult situation he added saying that it will have no impact even after these many MLAs leaving the party. No one can finish the Shiv Sena of Balasaheb, he boasted.

Earlier, Sanjay Raut, MP and had virtually threatened the rebel camp MLAs and dared them to come to Mumbai and face the music. "We are ready for the challenge", Raut said threatening that they would not hesitate even to take to the streets if the situation required so. "We will win all battles from Vidhan Sabha to the roads", Raut said.
