Islamabad, June 30: Pakistan rejected reports of Indian media agencies about the two Muslim men accused of murdering a Hindu tailor, Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur to a Pakistan-based Islamist organisation "Dawat-e-Islami".

"We have seen reports in a segment of the Indian media referring to investigations into the murder case in Udaipur, mischievously seeking to link the accused individuals, Indian nationals, to an organisation in Pakistan," the Foreign Office spokesperson said in a statement.
 
 
Further, it stated that Pakistan rejects any such insinuations, which are typical of the BJP-RSS 'Hindutva'-led Indian regime's attempts to malign Pakistan, including by externalising their internal issues by pointing fingers at Pakistan.
 
"We categorically reject any such insinuations, which are typical of the BJP-RSS 'Hindutva' driven Indian regime's attempts at maligning Pakistan including by externalizing their internal issues through pointing of fingers towards Pakistan. Such malicious attempts will not succeed in misleading the people, either in India or abroad," the Pakistan Foreign Office said.

A day after Kanhaiya Lal was beheaded by two radical Islamists, it was being reported that they have been linked to Pakistani organisations. In a latest development, Rajasthan Police said that the main accused involved in the killing of the tailor in Udaipur were in touch with Pakistan-based organisation Dawat-e-Islami and one of them also went to Karachi in Pakistan in 2014 to meet the organisation.
 
Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) ML Lather said that besides the main accused police have also taken three other people into our custody, with whom they were in contact. He further said that the incident which happened in Udaipur was an act of terror and the case has been transferred to National Investigation Agency (NIA) adding that the state police to assist in the probe.
