As earlier the Radha - Krishna image was placed near the washroom, the Orai seer Matsyendra Goswami had protested against it. Hence, the ASI has shifted the image away from the washroom region. According to ASI, the seer had recently visited the Taj Mahal and objected to the placement of the image of Lord Krishna, which, according to him, was too close to the toilet.

Based on the decision, the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), which maintains the picture gallery, was asked to make the necessary changes. Presently, the entire block of images containing Lord Krishna's pictures has been shifted to the other end of the gallery, whereas the view of toilet has been hidden with a fiberglass sheet.

According to the reports of India Today, an ASI senior official told that about 40 images from the gallery, which had become old and worn out, were being replaced and now a display containing a list of India's World Heritage Monuments will be placed where Lord Krishna's picture used to be.
