BrahMos Aerospace will produce 80 to 100 new BrahMos missiles every year at Lucknow

BrahMos Aerospace has planned to deliver 80-100 missiles a year from the Lucknow facility but the numbers are highly dependent on the orders we receive.

Lucknow, Jun 6: BrahMos Aerospace has announced to produce 80 - 100 new Brahmos missiles each year, at their Lucknow facility starting mid-2024. The development will take place due to the joint efforts of Central and State govts. The 'Yogi Adityanath led' Uttar Pradesh govt has been walking its way step by step towards becoming a defence production hub.

Presently, the construction work at the Lucknow facility is progressing well. The production of the current version of Brahmos will start as the facility is set up. Considering that all things will work out smoothly in the setup and professional attestation of the facility, the first Brahmos of the current version can be rolled out by mid 2024.
 
 
 
 
 
According to Atul D. Rane, CEO and MD, BrahMos Aerospace, the feasibility study of the missile is nearing completion, once the preliminary studies are over, a detailed design of the system will start and if things go well, the joint venture of DRDO India and NPOM of Russia has planned to finish detail designing within two years followed by system trials.
 
On the same lines, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to the Ground Breaking Ceremony 3 in Lucknow, on Jun 3, the BrahMos missile was the center of attraction in the exhibition. The timeline to roll out the future generation of missiles (BRAHMOS-NG) will be 5-7 years from now.
