Bengaluru, July 01: Condemning the brutal killing of the Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal Teliin Udaipur, Karnataka's Hindu shopkeepers came out to show solidarity with the deceased Kanhaiya.
They have launched a poster campaign to protest against the rising intolerance against Hindus in the country that claimed the life of the Hindu tailor. The images of the shopkeepers have been going viral on social media.
In the photos, the Shopkeepers are seen holding placards with slogans like, "I am a Hindu and do not take my life", "We will not speak the truth. My family depends on me" and "I won’t speak the truth, won’t stand in support of people who do it, I am poor, My family is dependent on me, Do not kill us."
It should be noted that two Islamists identified themselves as Mohammed Riyaz Akhatari and another as Mohammed brutally beheaded a Hindu tailor in broad daylight on June 28 in Rajasthan’s Udaipur city. They killed Kanhaiya Lal Teli for allegedly supporting former Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nupur Sharma. After executing the murder, they also shared the video of the murder.
The incident took place near the Bhoot Mahal on Maldas Street in Udaipur. The Udaipur Police rushed to the scene after the enraged merchants in the surrounding area complained of the inhumane incident.
