Kerala: Bomb hurled at RSS office in Kannur district; window panes shattered

Kannur, July 12: In a shocking development, a locally made bomb was hurled at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh office in Payyannur, Kannur district of Kerala in the early hours of Tuesday. The development comes ahead of an RSS 'Balidan yatra' in memory of a worker, who was allegedly murdered 10 years ago.

Shortly after the blast, Payyannur police reached the spot and sealed the area for further investigation. As per the police, the incident took place early this morning. According to initial reports, no injury or loss of life was reported in the incident. The window glasses of the building were damaged in the attack, said Payyannur police.


The lack of availability of CCTV footage has made it difficult to establish the identity of the individuals behind the act.

Meanwhile, the BJP has alleged that CPM was behind the attack.BJP leader Tom Vadakkan held the state administration responsible for its failure to prevent such attacks.
