Mumbai, July 12: In another shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly threatened by a Kashmir-based man after she reportedly shared a post on Facebook against the Udaipur beheading of Hindu tailor Kannaiya Lal.
Police identified the accused as Fayaz Ahmed Ghulam Mohammad Bhatt (30), who is a resident of Kashmir. The accused was traced and brought from Kashmir to Mumbai by cops from the VP Road police station.
Police said that she received molestation, death threats on calls and Whatsapp.DCP Neelotpal said that the matter was taken very seriously and an FIR was filed on July 2.
The DCP said that a team was sent to J&K and the accused's location was detected in Budgam district. On Sunday, the accused was flown to Mumbai and produced before a magistrate. The DCP also said that Bhatt has been remanded to police custody for 3 days.
