Donetsk separatist leader asks Russia to capture more Ukrainian cities

Minsk, Jul 28: Denis Pushilin, the leader of pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, called on Russia on Wednesday to seize large parts of Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv, saying the country’s main cities were Russian.

 

 

 

“Today is the time to liberate Russian cities founded by Russians: Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Odessa, Dnieper, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Lutsk,” Pusilin wrote in a telegram on the anniversary of the Soviet liberation of Brest, Belarus. Occupied by the Nazis.

 

 

 

The cities cited by Pusil, which were brought to power by Moscow, covered the entire geographical area of ​​Ukraine. Russia officially launched an offensive in Ukraine on February 24, claiming to protect the Russian-speaking population in the east of the country from genocide planned by Ukrainian authorities.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly denied the reality of a Ukrainian state, arguing that Ukrainian territory was artificially separated from Russia.
