With upcoming world's largest museum project, Haryana's Rakhigarhi to receive international recognition

New Delhi, Sept 15: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has recently visited the site of Rakhigarhi and directed the officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to develop the Harappan archaeological site at Rakhigarhi, in a museum building, that is planned to become world's largest museum. The Central govt had earlier initiated the project of constructing the world's largest museum at the archaelogical site of Rakhigarhi.

In order to give international recognition to the historical city of Indus Valley Civilization, 'Rakhigarhi', a museum is being constructed by the govt in Rakhigarhi, where artifacts of about 5000 years old Indus Valley Civilization will be preserved. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has recently directed officials of the Archaeological Survey of India to complete the excavation work of the protected site at Rakhigarhi at a fast pace and announced that a museum needs to be built at the excavation site.
 
 
 
 
 
At the same time, he also said that the security of these historical sites should also be ensured, so that no person can harm these sites. The move aims to bolster the region's tourism furthermore. Reports suggest that in line with tourism, Photograph labs have also been prepared in the museum being built in Rakhigarhi, in which visitors will be able to know the history of Rakhigarhi through pictures.
 
Besides, a kids zone has also been planned in the museum. This will be the first time, a kids zone will be constructed in a museum in Haryana. The area aims for awareness of history in sports for the children. Reports also suggest that the plan includes setting up of an open air theater, gallery, library, that will provide information about history to the visitors.
