Another day and another horrifying rape case happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri. 2 Dalit sisters were found hanging from a tree, they were gang raped. And the names of the accused are Junaid, Sohail, Karumiddin, Chotu, Arif, and Fazil. They all are arrested. And the case is going on on them, but no celebrity is talking about it openly? The question is WHY?

Here are the 4 facts that everyone ignored in this case :

1. Accused’s names: If you have read the introduction you must have got an idea who all are these accused. When Asifa was raped and murdered, every other celebrity held a placard and told the world that it happened in the temple and Hindustan is no safer. The agenda was clear over there, now the question is when all 6 men belong to a particular religion, why is everyone keeping quiet and no one talking about that? We had enough Sir Tan se Juda cases, and even if these slogans haven’t been here, the accused remains the same. My question till when we will be biased?



2. Celebrity’s silence: Another fact that we all are conveniently ignoring is the silence of influential people. When something happens against a particular community or religion they all stand together, hold placards, give interviews and talk about the incident which influences the masses. However, observation says when the accused are from that particular religion no one ever speaks about it and takes a convenient Maun Vrat. Take Kanhaiyalal Murder as an example, it was very clear that it happened due to religious hatred, did you see any influential people from the film fraternity speaking against it? Are any khans or Kapoors coming forward to protest? The answer is a big NO. You get your answer there only.

 

3. Silence from Youtuber Fraternity: These days Youtube is also an influential medium and people use this platform to voice their opinions. However, 90% of YouTubers have decided to keep mum on this incident, for obvious reasons. One report suggested, that when Hathras case happened, the entire focus was on Victim’s cast, and almost 37 YouTubers have spoken about it and protested against it, In this case, also the cast of the victim remains the same, however, not a single YouTuber have spoken against it, the question remains the same, WHY?

 


Sadly we should not look at the cast and religion of the crime however, the incidents are making us think about the same, because of the hypocrisy of the society. A criminal is a criminal but if the motive behind the crime is related to the cast and the religion, we must have to think about it deeply.
 
 
 


4. Silence of Dalit Right Activists: Another shocking fact that we all are ignoring is, the silence of Dalit Right Activists in this case. 2 Dalit girls have been brutally gang raped and murdered, but still no Dalit Activist Organizations have come forward to protest against it. No activists are asking for justice, It is us the common people who have nothing to do with the cast and creed and who are only concerned about the crime and the girl’s families are talking about it. Same question “WHY”?


These 4 facts are all about the Silence from influential people. And the religion and cast background of this case, which sadly we have to or we must take into consideration looking at the incident and expected motive behind the same. No matter how many “Article 15” Movies you make, if this fraternity can not speak against the crime equally there will always be a loophole in the system and it will encourage more and more Asif and Junaid to repeat these heinous crimes.


Till when we are going to support this hypocrisy? And when we are going to witness all these horrifying crimes, is the real question.
