For the last 2 days, Chandigarh University has been in the limelight and for not-so-positive reasons. One girl from Chandigarh University Girl’s hostel leaked over 60+ videos of girls taking baths to a man outside the university situated in Shimla for money. And because of these nude viral videos, multiple suicide attempts were reported from the girl’s hostel. This is horrible and it speaks volumes about what is happening in our society.
These 3 Things highlight the entire incident and these will creep you out. You will think 10 times about your or your loved one’s safety in university hostels.
1. The victims are girls so as the accused: This creeps us out more that these videos are leaked by a girl. It is reported that more than 60 videos of girls have been leaked. However, police only reported 4 videos and these are of the accused girl. Who sent these videos to her boyfriend Sunny who lives in Shimla. It is said that more videos have been leaked however they have been deleted before this incident was reported.
2. Multiple Suicide attempts are talked about: The most horrible part of the entire incident is, that the multiple suicide attempts that were reported post this incident came into the limelight according to the protestor students, however, police are denying this fact. Actor and MP Kirron Kher expressed her feelings on Twitter by saying “I am morally shaken by the ghastly incident at #ChandigarhUniversity. The name of my city is being tarnished due to this institute. I want to clarify that it is based in Kharar, Punjab. My heartfelt concern goes out to the girls & their parents who are a victim of this incident.” These suicide attempts are soul-shaking. What if this is true and they would have succeeded in their attempts? Just because of one wrong decision of one girl, many girls and their families are paying for this.

3. Protesteor student version is different: A massive protest is held by the students of the university. Where they all are saying that the university is trying to hide the truth. Where the university is saying that there are no suicide attempts were reported, students are claiming 8 girls tried to attempt suicide, the university is saying no viral video of any other girl apart from the accused is reported, and students are saying more than 60 MMS were circulated. The version that these protestor students has is completely opposite from police and university. What is true? The investigation will tell.
