Toronto, Sept 21: Chandra Arya, an MP of the Canadian Parliament, recently alarmed the Canadian govt about increasing incidents of Hindu hate crimes in the country and urged the parliamentarians to take the necessary remedial measures to address the issue.

In a recent Parliamentary address in the Canadian Parliament, Chandra Arya, who is an MP at the House of Commons in Canada, said, "Hindu Canadians are legitimately concerned about the rising Hinduphobia in Canada. I urge all levels of govt to note this."
 
In his statement to the Parliament he said, "Recent attacks on Hindu temples in Toronto, including BAPS Swaminarayanan Temple and Vishnu temple must be condemned by all as hate crimes." He further said, "Hindu Canadians arrived here from South Asia, Africa, Caribbean but mostly from India. They are the most peaceful and hardworking community and keep a low profile, focusing on their families and children's education."
 
 
 
 
 
The MP further added, "The increasingly vocal and well organized Anti India and Anti Hindu groups in Canada has resulted in increasing anti hindu sentiments...I urge all levels of govt to note this and take remedial actions now. Let us al work hard, to make sure that people of all religious faiths continue to peacefully coexist in Canada."
 
In a recent incident, the BAPS Swaminarayanan Mandir, in Canada's Toronto was reportedly vandalized with anti-India graffiti. 'Canadian Khalistani extremists' were the perpetrators of the incident.
