He also alleged that the IAF officials were also involved in the tampering with evidence and demanded to charge them for that, as per the complaint. The cadet's brother further demanded the immediate arrest of the IAF officials. He also urged to stop the autopsy of his deceased brother's body as the case needs to be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation( CBI).

A case has been registered under section 302 IPC by the Jalahalli Police.

"There are reports in the media about the death of Under Trainee Flying Officer (UTFO) Ankit Kumar Jha at Air Force Technical College (AFTC), Bengaluru on September 21. The deceased UTFO joined IAF last year in February and was undergoing training at AFTC. His training had been terminated on September 20, after informing his father of the same," IAF said in a statement.

Termination of training was the result of recommendations made by a Court of Inquiry (COI), which was instituted following a complaint by a fellow woman trainee officer against the UTFO on June 30, the IAF said.

"It had been established that the UFTO had committed certain acts of misconduct. The Inquiry proceedings were duly examined at multiple levels before being approved at Air HQ, as per established procedure on the subject.A Court of Inquiry by IAF is on to establish the circumstances leading to his death," the IAF said.

"The Indian Air Force condoles the unfortunate loss of life and prays for strength to the bereaved family in their time of grief. IAF is cooperating with the investigation being conducted by the police on the matter," the IAF said.
