Love Jihad claims another life! Muslim Man murders Hindu wife for refusing to wear burqa

Mumbai, Septmeber 28: In a latest incident of the Love Jihad case, a Muslim man, Iqbal Mohammad Sheikh, brutally killed his wife, Rupali Chandanshive by slitting her throat, after she refused to wear a burqa and follow Islamic traditions. Investigation suggests that the incident took place on September 24, at around 10-10:30 night.

 

As per the reports, the victim Rupali Chandanshive was in a relationship with Iqbal and got married to him three years back when she was 17 years old. Rupali had converted and changed her name to Zara for the marriage. The couple has a 2-year-old child.

 

 

Based on the FIR of the family members of the victim on Sunday, Tilak Nagar Police has registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an investigation, said reports.

 

The family members of Rupali, in the police complaint, said Iqbal and his family used to pressurise her to follow Islamic rituals and wear a burqa from the first day of their marriage. However, Rupali did not agree to it. This often led to altercations between the two and Rupali had also left her house and had been staying separately for the last few months.

 

 

 

However, on 24 Sep, Iqbal went to meet Rupali to persuade her to return home. But Rupali was adamant about her decision to divorce. This infuriated the man following which he dragged his wife to a nearby lane and slit her throat and stabbed her hands with a knife leading to her death.

 

 

 

Upon hearing Rupali’s screams, locals rushed to help her and informed the police about the matter. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
