Episode 51. 75 Legendary women of India - Sarika Kale

Kho Kho is one such game which is loved in rural areas beyond money. So,we can't ignore the contribution of heroes who made this sport so big. SarikaKale is one such hero.

 

 

Kale, who could just afford a meal a day, captained the Maharashtra team in2010, leading to three national championships. Later, she captained TeamIndia for 2016 South Asian Games.

 

 

 

She led the Indian Kho Kho team to victory in the South Asian Games and inthe Third Asian Kho-Kho Championship. For her achievements in Kho-Kho, she was the recipient of her state's Shiv Chhatrapati Award in 2016 and the

Arjuna Award in 2020.
