Congress party's link emerges with the Mangaluru blast case as ED raids former Congress MLA office in related to case

Bengaluru, January 11: In a shocking development, the Congress party's link with the Mangaluru cooker blast terror case has emerged after Enforcement Directorate (ED)conducted a raid at former Congress MLA & Minister Kimmane Ratnakar's office on Wednesday (Jan 11) in relation to the case.

A Congress party office was reportedly taken on lease from the Mangaluru autorickshaw blast case accused Shariq's family for Rs 10 lakhs. As per reports, the lease ends in June this year. ED officials had enquired Kimmane Rathnakar on the same. They also asked for the contract copy between them. Kimmane Rathnakar handed over the copies to the officials.

The case is being investigated by the National Investigative agency (NIA).
 
 
The blast had occurred when Shariq was still en route to a pre-decided location for carrying out the blast. The Forensic Science Laboratory Division (FSL) team reached the house rented by Shariq in Mysore the next day and recovered materials used to make explosives.
 
The FSL team recovered materials used to make explosives, such as gelatin powder, circuit boards, small bolts, batteries, mobile phones, wood power, aluminum multimeters, wires, mixture jars, pressure cookers, etc.
