India may lift curbs on Rice Exports

In September, India, the world’s biggest rice exporter with a 40% share in global trade, imposed a ban on broken rice exports and put 20% export tariffs on the non-basmati and non-parboiled rice, a measure that was aimed at improving domestic supplies amid expectation of a decline in production in 2022-23 crop season (July-June).
