The AAP MLA alleged corruption in the recruitment of nursing staff at the Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini. He claimed that contractors tried to bribe him.

"Money that I showed was given to me as a bribe. Rs 3 lakh was given as token money. I have been raising this corruption issue since January 5. I complained to DCP, CS, and LG. They (contractors) attempted to strike a deal with me. Despite complaints to DCP, no action was taken against it," Goyal said. "I hope Delhi Assembly will act on my complaint," he added.

Complaining about irregularities in the hiring of temporary staff at the Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, Goyal claimed there was a threat to his life from "powerful" people trying to silence him. "I need protection. My life is in danger," the Rithala MLA told the House. Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said the matter was serious and referred it to the petition committee of the House.
