Hoax call on Tirupati-Adilabad Krishna Express, one detained

The train arrived at the Moula Ali Railway Station in Telangana at 9:43 pm when police officials got on the train and started investigating.

Police have taken a man into custody from Telangana’s Moula Ali railway station for making a hoax threat call and informing about terrorists travelling on the Tirupati-Adilabad Krishna Express late on Friday night. Police said the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in Hyderabad received a threat call about terrorists travelling on Tirupati-Adilabad Krishna Express (train number: 17405) on Friday at 8:35 pm.

The train arrived at the Moula Ali Railway Station in Telangana at 9:43 pm when police officials got on the train and started investigating.
 
DCP-North and the Senior Divisional Security Commissioner of the Railway Police Force along with their teams reached the Moula Ali police station and checked the train thoroughly for around 40 minutes. The officials also took the help of sniffer dogs.
 
Police soon zeroed in on a man identified as Kiran and took him into custody. Secunderabad Railway Police officials seized his mobile phone.
 
IG-PCSC visited and supervised the operation. Police said no suspicious persons or terrorists were found and the train left from the Moula-Ali Railway Station at 10.15 pm.
 
Police said suspect Kiran, who was injured during Telangana Police Recruitment Physical Efficiency Test, was travelling along with his father on the said train from Mahabubabad to Secunderabad and during their journey, Kiran sent a message to the police control room mentioning, “I think terrorists are travelling on Krishna Express Train Number 17405. Please tell all our passengers to switch into flight mode fast.”
