New Delhi, January 04: In a disgusting incident, a drunk male passenger who was travelling from New York to New Delhi on an Air India flight misbehaved with a senior co-passenger and urinated on her on the flight. More shockingly, after landing, the passenger allegedly left without facing repercussions for his egregious behaviour.

As per the report, the incident took place in November last year on board Air India’s flight AI-102, and it came to light after a senior citizen wrote a letter to the Tata Group’s chairman N Chandrasekaran. In her letter she wrote, the incident happened after the lights inside the flight were dimmed after meals were served.

"Shortly after meals were served and lights were dimmed, another passenger walked to my seat, unzipped his pants, relieved himself and continued to expose me to his private parts", the woman complained.

The crew reportedly gave her a pair of pyjamas, and slippers and asked her to return to the same seat. The woman reportedly said in her letter that she didn't want to sit on the soiled seat, so she was given a crew seat. After an hour, she was allegedly told by the crew to return to her seat, covered with sheets but still reeking of urine. The crew sprayed disinfectant on the seat. When she firmly refused to take the same seat, she was given another crew seat, where she spent the rest of her flight.

The woman alleges she was not given another cabin seat even though many business-class seats were vacant.
Taking cognisance of the matter, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has sought a report from the airline. "We shall take action against those found negligent," said the regulator.

Meanwhile, following the matter, Air India has constituted an internal committee and recommended putting the male passenger on the 'no-fly list'. The matter is said to be under investigation.
