In a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday evening, Israel's departing Health Minister Moshe Arbel told all public hospitals to stop treating Hamas militants.

“Since the beginning of the fighting, the issue of treating the damned and despicable Hamas terrorists within the public hospitals has piled up a tremendous difficulty on the health system,”wrote the Health Minister.

“In these difficult times, the health system should focus fully on the treatment of the victims of the criminal massacre, IDF soldiers and readiness for the next [attack],”Arbel added.

"The task of securing and treating the cursed & despicable terrorists within the public health system significantly harms these efforts & therefore, under my guidance, the public health system will not treat them," he went on to say.

Arbel urged Netanyahu to "immediately" advise the necessary organizations to follow the new direction. "The director-general of the Ministry of Health spoke with the director-general of the Ministry of Defense to prepare to treat terrorists in the Shin Bet [Israel Security Agency] facilities instead of hospitals," according to a report from Israel's Channel 12 News.

MK Uriel Bosso will take over as Health Minister in lieu of Arbel. The establishment of an emergency unity coalition, announced on Wednesday, is causing a rearrangement in the Cabinet. Arbel will be appointed Minister of the Interior.

On Wednesday night, Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital (Sourasky Medical Center) said that a terrorist who had been taken to the hospital had been sent away from the emergency area. The injured terrorist was instead sent to an Israeli Prison Service clinic in Ramla. "There is not a single terrorist in our intensive care unit," said Sourasky Medical Center on X (previously Twitter).

Meanwhile, a handful of Israelis demonstrated outside Ramat Gan's Sheba Medical Center following false rumors that three Hamas militants were being treated there. Police brutally removed the demonstrators and arrested three people.

According to a Sheba spokeswoman, no terrorists are being treated in the facility. Other Israeli medical facilities stated that no terrorists were taken to their hospitals. Terrorists from Hamas penetrated multiple Israeli settlements on Saturday morning, murdering at least 1,200 people and kidnapping at least 100 captives back to Gaza.

According to a Health Ministry report issued Thursday morning, 3,297 Israelis have been injured as a result of shootings and rocket strikes.
