Erupting a controversy, teachers of ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh are facing backlash for criticizing and removing a student from the stage for raising "Jai Shri Ram" slogans at the College Cultural Fest. This came to light after a video went viral on social media.
In the video, one can hear students sitting in the audience were the first ones to greet a student who was on the stage with Jai Shri Ram chants. Following this, he greeted back with "Jai Shri Ram, Bhai" and you can listen the crowd cheered him with the same chants.
But what happened next was unexpected! After this, a teacher comes forward saying, "Not allowed. You are not here to raise slogans. This is a cultural program. You are not allowed to raise slogans. Out!" Soon after this, he was not allowed to perform at the Cultural Fest.
Mamata Gautam, a teacher from ABES Engineering college in Ghaziabad expelled a student from stage for greeting audience with "Jai Shree Ram". The student was about to perform at the College Cultural Fest.

Another video of the teacher went viral in which she calls the Jai Shri Ram chants as "Bekar Ki Baatein" which means useless talks. "We all are here for some cultural event and we are here for some good time. So why there are slogans of "Jai Shri Ram". Jisme koi logic nahi hai. Bilkul iska koi logic nahi hai (There is no logic in this). Ye program tab jab aap log discipline me rahego, aap logon ki taraf se co-operation hoga. Nahi toh hum future mein koi program nahi karwayenge. Aap itni ache jagah mein baithe hai, ABES mein baithe hai. Itne premier college mein admission liya hai. Toh ussi Tarah ka behaviour hona chahiye. ABES mein hai student baitha hai kyon BEKAAR KI BAATEIN kar raha hai (This program will go on only if there is discipline maintained and there is co-operation from you students. Otherwise, we will not conduct such programs in the future. You are sitting in such prestigious college, you have taken admission in the ABES, behave likewise. You are student of ABES, why are you speaking useless?)
