The Border Security Force (BSF) seized a damaged China-made quadcopter drone from a farming area near Mastgarh village in Tarn Taran district in a combined operation with Punjab Police, according to a senior officer.

According to a senior BSF official, forward posted BSF forces detected the passage of a drone during the night hours on Wednesday near Mastgarh village.

Furthermore, a search operation with Punjab Police was conducted along the border fence on Thursday, during which BSF personnel found the drone in shattered state at around 10:45 a.m., he added.

According to the officer, the recovered drone is a Chinese-made quadcopter (Model - DJI Matrice 300 RTK).

"Another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics via drone foiled by coordinated and joint efforts of BSF and Punjab Police," said the official.

Previously, the BSF seized a Pakistani drone from a rice field in Ferozepur district near the India-Pakistan border.

On Saturday, a search effort was begun on the fringes of the Chak Bhange Wala district near the Ferozepur border, and the drone was discovered from a rice field.
