NSCN (K-YA) Terrorist arrested in Nagaland’s Mon District by Indian army

A diehard NSCN (K-YA) terrorist was successfully caught in Nagaland's Mon district by the Special Operation Team of Mon Police and the Eastern Command Intelligence Battalion (ECIB) of the Indian Army in a noteworthy combined operation.
The person who was arrested is the self-described Lt. Jyachuk Wangsu, also known as Abo.
Wangsu is the son of Mannyem Wangsu and is originally from Chanu village in the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Interestingly, he had lately moved from NSCN(U) to NSCN(K-YA).
This operation comes after Wangsu was previously detained in 2021 on suspicion of possessing weapons by Longding police and security personnel.
Sources claim that Wangsu and other K-YA cadres had been actively engaged in extortion schemes, carrying out their operations at the directive of senior NSCN (K-YA) commanders.
