The incident follows two similar cases reported in Bengaluru since late last year. The police have ruled out the possibility of a serial killing as the accused persons have no connection with both the murders reported in January and December.

The accused, identified as Kamal, Tanveer and Shakib have been arrested while the police are still looking for five absconding miscreants.

WOMAN KILLED, BODY DUMPED AT STATION

During the investigation, police got to know that the deceased woman named Tamannaah was married to a man named Intikhab. It was Tamannah's second marriage. She was previously married to Intikhab's cousin, Afroz, and the family was not happy with this union.

On March 12, one of the accused named Nawab, the real brother of Intikaab, invited him and his wife Tamannaah for lunch at their house in Kalasipalya.

Suddenly, a fight broke out, after which Nawab asked Intikhab to leave the house and promised to send Tamannaah back to Bihar.

All the eight accused threatened him and sent him away, with Tamannaah left all alone. They killed her with her veil and dumped the body in a drum at the railway station.

CCTV FOOTAGE

The accused tried to escape to Bihar but with the help of the CCTV footage, the police nabbed three men involved in the murder.

The police are currently looking for absconding miscreants. Further details are awaited.

3 MONTHS, 3 BODIES

This is not the first incident where a body has been found dumped at the railway station in Bengaluru. In the second week of December, an unidentified woman’s body was found in a yellow sack on a coach of a passenger train at SMVT station.
