Being political Hindus in the West #10: Attacks on India, Really?

But what if these were not really to attack India but to attack Indians? To be more precise, to attack the Hindus? To be even more precise, to attack the Hindus living in the West? Let me explain this case.

In recent weeks and months, we have witnessed a series of events take place which are generally termed attacks on India. There was an attack on Hindus in Leicester in the UK last year, there were several attacks on temples in Australia as well as in Canada. We saw the US finally appointing an ambassador in India, Eric Garcetti, who has openly announced his intentions to engage directly with civil society groups on Human rights issues, which is a woke lingo for meddling in domestic affairs. And finally, we had George Soros openly declaring war against the Modi government. All these events look like a broader strategy to attack India.

But what if these were not really to attack India but to attack Indians? To be more precise, to attack the Hindus? To be even more precise, to attack the Hindus living in the West? Let me explain this case.

Yes, all these events Prima Facie, look like an attack on India. But we have to go a bit deeper and look at the people who are attacking and their backgrounds.

The UK

Let us start with Leicester. In Leicester, Hindus were targeted by the Islamists allegedly after an India-Pakistan match. The attackers were initially Pakistani goons but later it became the Ummah vs. the Hindus battle. In the previous article, Being political Hindus in the West #9: Political might of Hindus in the UK, we discussed how the the Hindus of UK have shifted from pro-Labor to pro-Conservative. We have used the Carnegie endowment for international peace data to back that claim.

The attack on Hindus in Leicester was not an attack on India but an attack on Hindus voting for the conservatives and Hindus deserting the Labour party. It was a warning to the Hindus of the UK to not desert the left or there will be severe consequences. The Conservatives did not do any good for themselves to assure the Hindus of their physical safety, considering they are in power.

The UK and Australia

Another example is an attack on Hindu temples in Australia as well as in Canada. Again, in both countries, Hindus used to vote overwhelmingly to the left and had started shifting to the Liberals and conservatives respectively. Again it was an attack on Hindus in those countries. It was also a warning telling them that, not only you are not physically safe if you abandon us, but you will be linked socially to the White supremacist as a white adjacent community. You will be looked at as an oppressor community by all other minority groups and you will have to be with the Whites only, some of whom will be racists.

The USA

Finally, the US. In the US as well the shift from Democrats to Republicans is significant and it is only likely to increase with the Seattle Caste law and similar shenanigans by the left. Economically Hindus are already among the top earners in the US. But Socially Hindus are still in the same circles as other minorities who are not affluent. The Biden administration sees PM Modi’s Texas rally with then-President Trump as an attempt to help Trump win an election by pushing Hindu voters in his direction. Now, the current administration is trying to attack the Hindus and send them a message to stay in line as well as attack the Modi government for its perceived help to Trump. This is why we can see a clear instigation like the Seattle law being celebrated and the Cisco caste discrimination case being highlighted in the national media without verifying the facts.

Lastly, George Soros’s statement is not only an attack on Hindus but is really an attack on India.
Finally here is a link to what former Canadian PM Stephen Harper said in Raisina Dialogue in 2022…
