Nowadays, providing security to the yatras that are being carried out on the occasion of Hindu festivals has become a necessity as the violence during the festivals has been intensifying in the country.

Recently, incidents of violence during peaceful Ram Navami processions, which were carried out to celebrate the birth of the Hindu deity, were reported from various parts of the country. There were reports of stone-pelting and violence from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.

Several shops and auto-rickshaws were ransacked during the violence, and several cars, including a few police vehicles, were set ablaze. One person was killed in West Bengal and one in Maharashtra in these violent incidents.
Apart from that day, violence was reported in Rohtas and Nalanda districts following Ram Navami after Islamists attacked the processions going through the area. The violence that broke out on Thursday continued until Saturday night. Vehicles, houses, and shops were torched, and several people were injured in the communal flare-ups reported in both towns.

Following the Ram Navami violence across the country, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar come forward to save India’s secular fabric, while pinning the whole blame on the BJP and Hindus.

Going further, some self-proclaimed secular intellectuals blamed Hindus for celebrating Hindu festivals in Muslim areas and advised them that they should celebrate their festivals in "Hindu areas" while allowing Muslim vendors to open shops during the Navratri Pandals by tagging it as a symbol of India’s syncretic culture.

The man at the top of the list, Rajdeep Sardesai, while using his "thinking power," linked these incidents with the 2024 election and blamed the BJP. He tweeted, "Sunday musing: the 3 states where the unfortunate Ram Navmi violence has taken place are also the 3 key states where, as per most polls and observers, the BJP faces its biggest challenges in the 2024 general elections: Bihar, Bengal, and Maharashtra. How should one read this, folks? "

However, before pinning blame on Hindus and the BJP for the violence, they should learn basic history. It should be noted that, unfortunately, violence on Ram Navami is not a new thing in India. It is the outcome of a sense of supremacy among Abrahamic faiths.

If we turned the pages of history—talking about "real history," which was kept under wraps for several years by historians—we found out that - the country has been witnessing violence on Ram Navami for 300 years.
In 1680, Sambhaji Maharaj issued strict orders preventing "Turks" from burning pandals and creating disturbances. There was no BJP back then, isn’t it?

In 1871, Bareilly-area Hindus planned to celebrate the Rama Navami festival, even though the route for the procession was agreed upon by all the parties. But then what Muslims did was even recorded in 1872's official Allahabad official administration report. The report stated that "a portion of the Mahomedan community had resolved at all costs to attack and plunder the Hindu procession".

The report explained how Muslim groups stealthily laid in wait to attack the Navami procession. The Muslim mob carried out a violent attack on the Hindu procession, that was carried out near the temple, and they burnt the Hindu priest to dεath.

The report further added that, the Mahomedan mob fell back upon the city, causing much rape and bloodshed." They plundered the entire city. Many were killed, including a Hindu sadhu. The military had to be called out to quell the disturbances.

This happened in 1871, almost 150 years ago. There was no BJP or Hindu Mahasabha back then, and there wasn’t even any Hindu political organisation back then. It was a few innocent Hindu pilgrims who wanted to celebrate their festival, but Muslims didn’t allow them.

Even though you give so much proof to liberals, they are going to deny everything. They are never going to accept that Hindus are real victims of the atrocities of Islamists.
