Srinagar, May 10: Banned separatist outfit Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) of jailed separatist leader Yasin Malik has written a letter to G20 nations against holding the high-level meet in Srinagar later this month. This development comes after Pakistan and terrorist groups warned against the conduction of G20 meet in Kashmir.

While India has rubbished the objections to the conduct of G20 meeting in Kashmir, saying J&K is its integral part and New Delhi has a right to hold any event on its territory, Pakistan has again and again tried to disrupt preparations of G20 meeting with several terrorist attacks.

In a press conference, the terrorist outfit stated that "Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the chief spokesman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and the special representative of the incarcerated party Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, has sent a detailed letter to the heads of G20 member states that expressed people’s concern over Indian hidden anti-State agenda in hosting their officials meeting on May 22 and 23 in disputed State of Jammu Kashmir".

It also said that in connection with the "preparations for this meeting in Occupied Kashmir while turning it in to the military zone India has made the lives of the local people miserable who are already under duress for the last several decades facing the wrath of almost a million Indian military personnel deployed in such a small place. India, under the garb of security arrangements for the conference, has started a new spree of arrests and extra judicial killing of Kashmiri youth besides harassment of common people in Kashmir and by holding this conference in the disputed region, is trying to achieve its own hidden objectives by misleading the international community".

JKLF has "appealed" people in Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir to observe complete strike on 22nd and 23rd of May and the people in AJK-GB to hold protests.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Home Affairs and security agencies are on their toes as the Union Territory is all set to host a prestigious G20 meeting. While Srinagar will be hosting the historic G-20 events for the first time between May 22 and 24, Pakistan-sponsored terrorism has again spread its fangs in the valley. In the wake of the recent terror incidents in Poonch, Rajouri and Baramulla, a high-level security review meeting took place in Srinagar today. The meeting was chaired by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla while Intelligence Bureau Director and top security officials from the Union Territory participated in the meeting.
