Lucknow, May 12: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took out time from his busy schedule to watch Sudipto Sen's controversial film The Kerala Story in Lucknow. The UP Chief Minister was seen at a special screening of the film at Lok Bhavan Auditorium at 11.30 am on Friday, May 12.

UP CM Yogi Aidtyanatth and his cabinet members watched The Kerala Story in Lok Bhawan. In a clip shared by the agency, the UP CM, garbed in his traditional saffron can be seen rapt in attention watching the special screening of the Adah Sharma Film.
 
 
 
The development comes barely a day after Adityanath met the makers and cast of The Kerala Story in Lucknow. Photos and videos from the interaction show Yogi Adityanath meeting Adah Sharma, Sudipto Sen, and the producer and creative Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The event was attended by quite a few female attendees at the movie screening organized by UFO Cine Media Network. The report added that an invitation to see the movie was extended to female BJP members from the Mahila Morcha and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday announced that the movie 'The Kerala Story' will be made tax-free in the state. The Uttar Pradesh CM took to Twitter to make this announcement. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan too shared a video on his official Twitter handle, declaring that The Kerala Story will now be tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh CM, while making an announcement on the movie, said, "The Kerala Story makes people aware of love-jihad, terrorism, and religion. The movie also throws light on how the girls are trapped in the name of religion and the aftermath of it."
 
 
The Haryana government too made The Kerala Story tax-free. The CM of the state tweeted, "The Kerala Story has been made tax-free in Haryana."
