Police deployed outside actor Aishwarya Rajesh's house as 'Farhana' stirs row

Amidst a row over the recently released Tamil film, 'Farhana' which is centred around a Muslim woman who joins a call centre to financially support her family, police personnel have been deployed outside the home of the movie's lead actress Aishwarya Rajesh.

The woman later realises that she has been brought into a phone sex chat industry. She also develops a connection with one of the callers and agrees to meet in person.
 
 
Islamic organisations have called for a ban on the film, saying that it is insulting to their religion. Indian National League (INL) leader Tada J Abdul Rahim filed a complaint against the movie with the Chennai police commissioner.
