Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has stepped in to ensure there isn't any drama as he reached party president Mallikarjun Kharge's residence.

  •  Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar are in the reckoning for the top post.

  • Siddaramaiah flew to Delhi on Monday while Shivakumar came for the meeting on Tuesday.

  •  Shivakumar has maintained that he has left the final decision with the party's high command. He rubbished the media reports that Siddaramaiah has the backing of 80 MLAs.
