NB Exclusive | The Kerala Story at FTII ! Mitee film Society organises special screenings of 'Movie'

Amid the protest going around the state over Sudipto Sen's, The Kerala Story Movie, a screening of the movie was organised at Pune's Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) on Saturday (20 May). The event was organised by the Mitee Foundation.

 

 

Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is set to be released in cinemas on May 5.

 

Mitee Foundation has been organising a screening of the movie on May 20 at 9.30 AM. As per the reports, the screening was attended by producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah and actor Adah Sharma. They are scheduled to interact with viewers.

 

'The Kerala Story' has become a topic for discussion around the numbers being exaggerated in the trailer of the film, as it claimed that 32,000 girls from the state went missing and later joined the terrorist group, ISIS. The movie is facing stiff resistance in Kerala, West Bengal & Tamil Nadu with several political parties opposing the release of this film.

 

'The Kerala Story' stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani in the lead roles. Helmed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film is all set to hit the theatres on May 5, 2023.
