With the Karnataka Assembly Elections just a few days away, the Congress on Tuesday released its manifesto for the May 10 polls. In its manifesto, the grand old party has promised to ban organisations that “promote enmity or hatred” such as Bajrang Dal, the youth wing of the Sangh-affiliated Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Apart from Bajrang Dal it also promises to ban PFI. In its manifesto, Congress says “law and Constitution are sacrosanct and can not be violated by individuals and organisations like Bajrang Dal, PFI or others promoting enmity or hatred, whether among majority or minority communities."
 
It also promised to repeal, within 1 year of coming to power, "all unjust laws and other anti-people laws" passed by the BJP government in the state.

Reject National Education Policy and bring state election policy

It said BJP government has distorted the text books by insulting the great souls of Karnataka like Vishwa Guru Basavanna, Rastrakavi Kuvempu. The congress will restore the true values of Bharath and Karnataka and Scientific Temper in the text book.

Under Gruha Jyothi, the Congress will provide free electricity to up to 200 units in all houses in Karnataka.


Gruha Lakshmi
Under this, the Congress has promised to provide ₹2,000 to each woman head of family.

Anna Bhagya
Every person in Below Poverty Line (BPL) family will get 10 kg of food grains per month.


Yuva Nidhi
₹3,000 will be provided per month to unemployed graduates, and ₹1,500 will be given to unemployed diploma holders under Yuva Nidhi.
