Another day another incident! Muslim drivers molest engineering student inside a moving cab in Colaba
According to police, when the woman opened the rear door to enter the taxi, the driver allegedly told her that the door was not working properly and asked her to sit in the front seat.

Mumbai, May 24: In yet anoter incident, which one again raised question over the women safety in the metro cities, a 52-year-old taxi driver “Mohamed Jibrael” allegedly molested an engineering student inside a moving cab in Colaba. According to police, the incident took place on May 20 evening.
Police has arrested the accused, after the victim filed a police complaint against the incident. Police said the accused touched her inappropriately, following which the 22-year-old woman shared her live location with her brother and also messaged him saying: “I am in taxi and unsafe”.
According to police, when the woman opened the rear door to enter the taxi, the driver allegedly told her that the door was not working properly and asked her to sit in the front seat. The woman went and sat there after which the accused allegedly started making small conversation with her.

“The taxi driver requested her to come with him to various places, which she refused and asked him drop her at the hostel,” said an investigating officer. The taxi driver then stopped the vehicle in front of a juice stall and took sugarcane juice. He offered juice to the woman. She refused and asked him to drop her to the hostel.
The officer added, “On their further journey, the driver started touching her inappropriately. The victim asked him to stop the vehicle, but he kept driving.”
The woman got scared and and shared her live location on mobile phone with her brother, police said adding that she also informed him that she is in a taxi and not safe. The woman then demanded the driver to stop the vehicle at a spot, following which she paid him money and got out of the cab. The woman then reported the matter at Colaba police station where a case was registered under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC. Police managed to trace the taxi car number through CCTV footage and arrested the driver late on Sunday from his house in Walada.
