Five rusty bombs were found in Seri Chowana village in Poonch by the Indian Army's Special Operations Group (SOG) and Romeo Force, according to officials on Sunday. There is a search operation going on. More information is awaited. An attempt at infiltration along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishnaghati Sector, Poonch, was thwarted on the intervening night of June 14 and 15, according to an official statement released on Thursday.
One firearm, two pouches, and two rucksacks were found during the operation. One AK-74 rifle with nine magazines and 438 rounds, two pistols with four magazines and 60 rounds, six hand grenades, clothing, and medications are among the seized goods, according to the statement. Another attempt at infiltration that may have disturbed the peace in the Poonch district was thwarted by this quick response, the statement continued.
Police on Monday found Rs 7 lakh in cash from a residence in the village of Allapeer, "believed to be proceeds of terrorism," in an unrelated incident that resulted in the arrest of a person. "The money is thought to be the result of terrorism. An additional investigation is being conducted; a police officer stated. According to authorities, a case has been filed at the Poonch police station under sections 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act and sections 13/18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Vinay Sharma, a senior superintendent of police (SSP) in Poonch, oversaw the operation."During the questioning, the accused Mohd Safeer disclosed that the cash amounting to Rs 7 lakh, which is believed to be terrorism's proceeds, was kept hidden in his house at AllaPeer," the official said. Additionally present were the investigating officer, DySP Dar Poonch, DySP Mohd Shafiq, a police party, and executive Magistrate first class Poonch.
