Indian Army gives NOC to Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel’s 'Gadar 2'; Know what it means-

New Delhi, July 01: After 22 years of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles, the second installment has finally arrived! The film is scheduled for a release on August 11, 2023. Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol are all set to entertain fans again as Sakina and Tara Singh in Gadar 2. Now, the film, directed by Anil Sharma, has now got an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the Indian Army.

 

 

 

As pre-requisite for any army-based film in India to obtain a No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee before release, the makers of Gadar 2 recently held a special screening of the film. The response they received from the officials was extremely heartwarming. The Ministry of Defence Preview Committee didn’t only give the green light to Gadar 2 but also shared positive words of acclamation for the film.

 

 

 

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is a 2001 film which is against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947. The film is said to be loosely based on Boota Singh, who was an ex-soldier in the British army. He was known for his tragic love story with Zainab, a Muslim girl he rescued during the communal riots at the time of the partition. The film stars Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel in lead roles alongside Amrish Puri and Lillete Dubey and was directed by Anil Sharma.
