After a showdown with gun-wielding Jihadi cow smugglers at 4:30 am morning, the Bajrang Dal Cuttack unit managed to rescue 9 cows & 2 bulls who were being transported for slaughter from Andhra Pradesh to West Bengal via Odisha using an Eicher truck bearing number “AP 39UM 4959”.
As per Sources on the ground, the Bajrang Dal Cuttack unit had inputs of 3 container trucks with cows & bulls being illegally smuggled in the wee hours of the morning.
Multiple Teams of Bajrang Dal were indulged in a chase with Jihadi cow smuggler container trucks on Highway NH16 coming from Bhubaneswar to Tangi when the Bajrang Dal Cuttack unit zeroed in on speeding containers & asked them to stop.
Jihadis who were in the container trucks managed to escape with 2 containers by brandishing guns & other weapons & mounting attacks on Bajrang Dal Karyakartas, but the Eicher truck containing 9 cows & 2 bulls was successfully stopped at Tangi Bandhala tollgate at about 4:30 am after a wild goose chase which lasted 2 hrs nonstop.
As per Bajrang Dal Karyakartas, the cows & bulls are smuggled & transported without proper orders from the veterinary hospital or Collector office.
As per the latest inputs from the ground, the 3 Jihadi cow smugglers are interrogated by police to find out more information from them on this racket & an FIR is also registered by Police U/s 379,411,34, Section 7 of Odisha’s anti-cow slaughter law i.e “THE ORISSA PREVENTION OF COW SLAUGHTER ACT 1980”, Section 11 of PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS ACT(PCA) 1990(1934AD).
