BSF finds Pakistani drone carrying heroin in Punjab’s Amritsar

Amritsar, Sept 25: A Pakistani drone was seized during a joint operation in Amritsar by the Border Security Force and the Punjab Police. According to the BSF, the drone was carrying a 500-gram payload of heroin, according to a statement.

BSF Punjab stated on X (previously Twitter), "Action against drugs."
Troops discovered 1 Pakistani drone, a Quadcopter, Model - DJI Mavic 3 classic, and 1 package suspected to contain heroin (Net wt - appx 500 gms) during a joint operation of BSF Punjab and Punjab Police on the fringes of Village - Mahawa, Distt - Amritsar." Earlier this week, a Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police team seized a Pakistani drone in Punjab's Tarn Taran area.
 
 

On Saturday, the drone was retrieved from a paddy field in Rajoke village, Tarn Taran district, according to an official statement. "On September 16, 2023, at approximately 03:32 PM, the BSF intercepted movement of a suspected drone near Village - T J Singh, District - Tarn Taran."
 
 
"According to the drill, BSF troops reacted immediately to intercept the drone," an official statement stated.
