Islamabad, Jan 2: In a blatant claim, Pakistan caretaker PM Anwarul Haq Kakar said Baloch militant outfits were being funded by Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for carrying out "terrorist acts" in his country.
These blatant claims came as Kakar addressed a press conference in Lahore and said those who had called for militants to be presented in courts, saying that close to 90,000 people were killed in the country yet "not [even] nine people have been convicted".
"The criminal justice system is not right. They commit 80-90 murders after taking money from India. I announce that they do all this with funding from RAW. Deny that they don’t," he said.
He said that roughly 90,000 people have died in the war against terrorism, according to the acting prime minister, but only roughly nine of the accused have been found guilty to date. According to the prime minister, the nation's criminal justice system needed to be improved. In response to a query, he stated that the right to free speech was unrestricted.
On the other hand, Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch has accused Pakistani authorities of using excessive force on Baloch and spending money on the "massacre of Baloch". She shared pictures of family members carrying pictures of their loved ones, demanding their safety.
